Karunakar Rai is a senior leader in digital transformation, records and information management, and operational excellence with close to three decades of experience across the GCC and India. At Athena Global, he leads strategy, service delivery, and growth, driving AI-enabled digitization, ECM solutions, and intelligent document processing for government, banking, and enterprise clients.

He has previously led large regional operations at Tejoury, Crown Records Management, and IL&FS, managing P&L, PMO, quality, and large teams across multiple countries. Karunakar is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (Africa), a speaker at several industry conferences, and a guest lecturer at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. His awards include Outstanding Leadership Award from Internet 2.0 Dubai.
